Growing up, I was horrendous at sports but desired an active lifestyle. I discovered the gym in high school and fell in love with weight training and being strong. I've challenged my body in obstacle course running, cycling, HIIT training, and following bodybuilding and powerlifting programs. I love seeing how the body adapts to different training modalities and nutrition plans.
My journey to fitness has been filled with highs and lows. I spent the first few years of this journey following wrong information and going about fitness in a way that guaranteed failure. From YouTube videos to advertisements on social media to articles on the Internet, I learned the hard way that there is a lot of misinformation out there. Can you relate to my story? As I chased and fixated on immediate results, I soon developed an eating disorder that left me more unfulfilled than when I started. I had the body I wanted, but I felt even more broken.
Slowly I started to see the trustworthy information and adopted a much healthier approach to training and nutrition. As a Christian, I believe it is important to take care of the body that God created for us; He designed us wonderfully. This is why I am so passionate about approaching training and nutrition while consciously considering our physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual health.
The end goal can be exciting, but I want you to love the process too.
At the time, though I am not a certified personal trainer, I have extensive knowledge and experience in the subject. As mentioned above, I began my journey with a lot of misinformation, and my goal is to help make training and nutrition easy to understand. I want you to pursue your goals without making all the mistakes I did.
My goal is to keep you as a client for as LITTLE as possible, not to keep collecting your money. I want to build a firm foundation in nutrition and fitness that will last a lifetime. I want you to learn which information you can trust. I want to pass on knowledge and experience so you can help yourself and then help others chase health. Whether that takes a couple of months or a few years, I want to equip you with the right tools to pursue training and nutrition.
